Your Headshot Is Your First Entrance
The only real rule is that there are no rules. I had one Dallas actor client tell me recently that a theater told her that her headshots HAD TO BE done with a white border around them, and printed on matte paper. Well, maybe they HAD TO BE that way for that theatre, but generally what is wanted is a headshot that shows you... who you are... what your personality is. The Dallas - Fort Worth market is a very competitive one in theater, film, and modeling. You need a headshot that shows you at what you beleive is your best.
And what do you get for the three seconds they look at your headshot out of the pile of others? Well, if you've had a shot taken at some nice location, or in front of some old barn door, or whatever, at least 1.5 of those three seconds will be spent trying to figure out where the photo was taken.
If, on the other hand, you shoot against a plan, high-key white backdrop, which we favor, then all three second will be spent looking at YOU, because that's all there will be to look at. Kari and I will put you at ease, make you look great, make you totally at home in front of the camera and come out with a shot to remember, and to show off.
What do we offer differently from the others? Experience. Training. Excellent in styling, lighting and retouching. And the ability to listen and make your headshot a team effort.
Look around. Check everywhere you can. Then, call us at 214-546-3794. We'll make you look as great as you really are.
